Crone Dolls

I feel sad that the majority of dolls available to people of all ages are often: young, aesthetically perfect, with flawless complexions and proportions.

Does this give me joy? Not really.

I want a doll that looks like its seen things, like it's lived a long and mystic life, survived trials and sometimes time travel.  I want to sit with a doll and know they have stories to tell.

I want to look at them and think, "I feel yah."

I'm not a doll maker, nor am I good at sewing tiny clothes, but these are my Crones and Mystic Beings in progress. And one witch and her familiar, that has already found a home.

These wire sculptures, with DAS clay, often felted extremities and handsewn clothes.
